BERTHA GILBERT (d. 1956)
Mrs. Bertha Gilbert, 82, of 2408 Wollmer St., Manitowoc, died at 5:45 a.m.
Thursday at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc, where she had been a patient
six months.
Funeral services will be at 8:30 a.m. Saturday at the Pfeffer Funeral Home,
Manitowoc, and at 9 a.m. at St. Paul Catholic Church. The Rev. Dennis Bouche
will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
The former Bertha Neuser was born March 6, 1874, in Manitowoc Rapids and lived
her lifetime in the county. She was married to Carl Gilbert in 1898. He died
in 1941??
Mrs. Gilbert is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Claude Allie of Manitowoc; a son,
Ralph of Manitowoc; two brothers, Joseph Neuser of Rt. 3, Manitowoc, and John
of Manitowoc; three sisters, Mrs. John Pfefferle of Milwaukee, Mrs. Ida
Renzelmann of Sheboygan and Mrs. John Fischer of Manitowoc, six grandchildren
and eight great grandchildren.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Friday where the Rosary will
be recited at 7 p.m. Friday.
