The birth and death dates for BOY Ryan are a mystery because 1900 Federal Census as Dec 1878, info from St Agnes Church Records as January 13, 1871

Information from David Sprinkle Member (#47391727) St Agnes Catholic Church Dauphin Island Al records the Church was built 1885 but had a few older records called Mission records before the church was built by Priest who would come down from Mobile and baptise and when St Agnes was built these records from 1860s-1870s were added to St Agnes records, I copied those records in 1980

Lawrence Ryan born January 13 1871 son of John A Ryan and Virginia Williams, should be Eugenia Williams

The information received from David would make the most since due the date of marriage and age of his first child. But with all the mystery surrounding the life of Boy Ryan, why would I be surprise that no documents for his age or birth date match, for this reason. I Thank David, for his hard work, and sharing his research, I have chosen to list no birth date and include both dates so if your family history research is straight from census, you will be able to make the family connection.

We have found both Lawrence and Annie 1930 Federal Census which to no one surprise wrong age listed again, Lawrence could not read or write, so it would appear that someone else fill these census out for him.

As too Lawrence second marriage I have a hand written letter from Doris "Ryan" Chason stating Lawrence "BOY" Ryan had a son John J Ryan. Also we have the marriage license Mary Eugenia Ryan stating Lawrence "BOY" Ryan was her father and her obit, saying the John J, Inez and Jeanette were her siblings.

After speaking to John J Ryan children they said Boy died somewhere between the time frame of 1933 to 1934, because their dad was 8, and aunt Jeanette said she was 1 at the time of his death.
