Josephine Helena Livengood, 90, of Oakland died on Sunday, March 17, 2013 at Dennett Road Manor Nursing Home. Born on January 8, 1923 in Keyser, WV, she was the daughter of the late Peter J. and Ada G. (Flemming) Rowan. She was employed as a lens inspector at Bausch and Lomb and retired after dedicating over twenty years of service to the company. Josephine was a member of American Legion Post #71 and the VFW Post 10077 Ladies Auxiliary.
She is survived by her children, Edward J. Livengood and significant other Donna Wise, James N. Livengood and wife Annette, and Mary J. Ginter, all of Oakland; eight grandchildren; and eleven great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ward I. Livengood; a son, David G. Livengood; a daughter, Katherine A. Jessup; and four siblings, Mary F. Mielnicki, Margaret Grubb, Leo A. Rowan and William E. Rowan.
A graveside service will be held at Garrett County Memorial Gardens on Saturday, April 6, 2013 at 10:00 AM with Reverend Mr. Donald Battista officiating. www.burdockfredlockfh.com
