Jennie came to the U.S. in 1880 when she was 24 and joined some of her brothers and sisters at Tie Siding, Wyoming. She married Otis Wallace on 17 June 1885. He died less than a year after their wedding at which point she took over the operation of their ranch and became a very capable business woman.
