Harry Romanick Uncle Harry , 80, of Saylorsburg, died Wednesday, January 18 in his home. Born: in Bethlehem, he was a son of the late Paul and Olga Savessuk Romanick. Personal: He was the husband of the late Phyllis Cookie' Trumbauer Romanick. He attended school in the Miller Heights School District in Bethlehem Township and he also attended the Russian Orthodox Church in Bethlehem. He had been a truck driver for New Penn Trucking in Reading for 39 years, retiring in 1996. He was a member of the Teamsters Union Local 429 in Reading. Harry was a Marine Corp. veteran of the Korean War and a 50 year member of the American Legion Post 927 in Gilbert. He was a life-long Phillies and Eagles fan and was excited to see his Phillies win the world championship in 1980 and 2008. He was an active fan and supporter of various baseball leagues in the community. Harry loved being with his family, especially his great-niece and great-nephew. Harry loved life and helping people. He was Uncle Harry to everyone. He loved everyone and was very unselfish. His CB handle was The Mad Russian. Survivors: He is survived by his niece and nephew, Tina Breslin and Brian Breslin, both of Saylorsburg, whom he treated as his own children; great-niece and great-nephew, Caitlin and Connor Breslin whom he considered his grandchildren; his wife Phyliss' daughter, Cindy Jandrisevitz of Bath; and many other nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by seven brothers and sisters, Gus, Violet, Mary, Anne, Alexander, John and Sophie. Services: Funeral services will be held at 8 p.m. on Monday, January 23 from the Kresge Funeral Home, Route 209 Brodheadsville. Cremation will take place in the H. G. Smith Crematory, Stroudsburg. Interment of Harry's cremains will take place at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, January 24 at Buena Vista Cemetery, Brodheadsville. A viewing will be held on Monday from 6 p.m. until the time of the service.
