German Admiral during WW2. Veteran of World War I. He served on the heavy cruiser Prinz Eugen where he met Reich Propaganda Minister Joseph Goebbels. Appointed Naval Liaison Officer to Hitler's headquarters in March of 1943. Wounded in the July 20th 1944 assassination attempt on Adolf Hitler, for which he was awarded the special Wound Badge of 20 July 1944 (3 badges?). He was in the Führerbunker during the final days, leaving on May 1st 1945 after the Goebbels murder-suicide.
