VIRGINIA M. RUZEK

Virginia M. Ruzek, 59, of 825 Dewey St., Manitowoc, died Monday morning, December 26, 1988, at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Appleton.

Mrs. Ruzek was born November 3, 1929, in Manitowoc County, daughter of Herbert Hoefner and the late Linda (née Fischer) Hoefner.

She married Harlen Ruzek December 21, 1957, at Gjerpen Lutheran Church, Valders.

She grew up and was educated in Manitowoc County, graduating from Lincoln High School in 1947. She worked at the former Manitowoc Savings Bank from 1948 to 1958. Mrs. Ruzek was a member of First Lutheran Church, First Lutheran Church Women and active with church functions.

Survivors include her husband, Harlen of Manitowoc; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Bruce and Sari Ruzek of Neenah and Brett Ruzek of Manitowoc; two daughters and a son-in-law, Brenda and Lawrence Freiberg of Manitowoc and Gail Ruzek of Waunakee, Wisconsin; her father, Herbert Hoefner of Manitowoc; two granddaughters, Heidi and Lisa Freiberg; a brother and sister-in-law, Curtiss and Elizabeth Hoefner of Valders; her mother-in-law, Leona Ruzek of Manitowoc; a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Dolores and Edward Boprey of Manitowoc; aunts; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Milton Hoefner and two infant sisters.

Funeral services will be at First Lutheran Church, and entombment will be in Knollwood Mausoleum.
