Richard V Perdew of Melbourne, FL died at home. He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran and retired as owner of Tri Star Computers in Melbourne. He is survived by his wife of 12 years, Cecelia Zaveta Perdew; daughter, Jennifer Dominguez of Frisco, TX; granddaughter, Sydney Dominguez and brother, Jack of Laverne, CA. No services are scheduled. On Dec. 28, 1958, Richard Von Sien Perdew and Mary Lynn Myklebust, (b. Sept. 23, 1931 in Yakima, WA.) were married at the Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Longview, WA.
Mary Lynn's parents were Olaf Bernard Myklebust and Clara (Benner) Myklebust.
Mary Lynn was a graduate of Pacific Lutheran University, Tacoma, WA. and had been employed with the WA. State Dept. of Public Assistance for 5 years. She was employed as a children's case-worker with the San Luis Obispo County Welfare Dept.
"Dick" was working toward his degree in electronic engineering at California Polytechnic "Cal Poly" State College in San Luis Obispo.

Richard and Mary Lynn had two children:
1. Kristen Von Sien Perdew, b. in San Luis Obispo, CA.
2. Jennifer Claire Perdew, b. in Canoga Park, CA.

UPLAND – Richard Perdew, 19, 1673 Archibald Ave. , Alta Loma, was given a hit-run driving citation at 12:31 a.m. Tuesday after being stopped by police at San Antonio Avenue and 11th Street .
Young Perdew assertedly left the scene without making a report after his motor car jumped a curb of the Euclid Avenue central parkway, damaging the lawn and striking a pepper tree. The youth told police he left the scene in embarrassment when the horn of his car suddenly "went on a toot."

Marine Cpl. Richard V. Perdew, son of Earnest E. Perdew, 6295 Archibald Ave., Alta Loma, is working in Korea to keep communications open.
A switch board chief with the communications section of Headquarters and Service Co., he supervises the center and is in charge of telephone installation within the post.
He attended Chaffey Union High School in Ontario and was employed by a Downey telephone company before entering the Marine Corps in August 1952.

Cpl. Richard V. Perdew, son of Earnest E. Perdew, 6295 Archibald Ave., Alta Loma, is among the troops who arrived at San Francisco aboard the Gen. E.T. Collins, after serving 14 months in Korea, with the 1st Marine Division.

Richard and Mary Lynn were divorced on Jul. 9, 1981 in Brevard, FL.

Richard marr., second, Martha Lee Harris, on Sep. 26, 1981 in Brevard, FL. They were divorced on Aug. 31, 1992 in Brevard, FL.

Richard marr., third, Cecelia May Grenier/Zaveta on Jul. 19, 1997 in Brevard, FL.

Military Service: Marine Corps, Camp Pendleton1 year & 8 months in Korea as Sgt. in charge of communications between Headquarters and front line. A mortar shell hit close by, causing him to receive a broken leg in the explosion. He was then evacuated to a hospital ship. On leaving the service, he attended College at Cal State San Luis Obispo, and then UCLA for engineering. He worked on the Aerospace Program at Vandenburg AFB, and Whitesands, NM. He also worked for Dallas Collins Firm, Corona del Mar for 5 1/2 years and then at Florida's Cape Canaveral for Shuttle Communications.

Richard V. Perdew, age 80, of Melbourne, died at his residence, Friday, March 15, 2013. He was born October 12, 1932 in San Bernardino, CA, and had been a resident of Melbourne for 25 years, moving here from his birthplace.
Prior to his retirement, he was the owner and operator of Tri Star Computers in Melbourne. Mr. Perdew was a veteran serving with the U.S. Marines.
Members of his family include his wife of 12 years, Cecelia Zaveta; a daughter, Jennifer (Claire) Dominguez, Frisco, TX; brother, Jack Perdew, La Verne, CA; granddaughter, Sydney Dominguez, TX.
