Linda Lee Gutshall, 67, of Bloomsburg, died Wednesday morning at home, Jan 2, 2013. Her husband is Robert Gutshall. They married on March 3, 1967 and celebrated 45 years of marriage.
She was born in Scranton on March 2, 1945, daughter of the late John and Margaret Crunden Francis. She was a graduate of Abington Heights High School, class of 1963; Keystone Junior College, class of 1965; and Lock Haven University, class of 1967; and earned her master's degree in education at Bloomsburg State College. She began her teaching career at Lackawanna Trail and taught for more than 30 years at Memorial Elementary School in Bloomsburg.
She enjoyed spending her summers at her family cottage at Lake Sheridan and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Surviving are a son, James and wife, June, Drums; a daughter, Jennifer and husband, Tony, Mansfield, Conn.; two grandchildren, Jake and Andi; two sisters, Kathy and husband, Dale Dixon, Osprey, Fla.; and Karen and husband, John Hayduk, Scott Twp.; several nieces and nephews; many great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was also preceded in death by a son, Matthew; and a sister, Susan Litwin, in 1989.
A celebration of Linda's life will be Sunday at 1 p.m. at the Anthony P. Litwin Funeral Home, 33 Reynolds St., Factoryville. Friends may call from noon to 1.
Friends also may call on Saturday at the Dean W. Kriner Funeral Home Inc., 325 Market St., Bloomsburg, from 3 to 6 p.m.
