He is survived by his parents: Donald and Vicki (Miller) Schmidt, Manitowoc; two brothers and sisters-in-law: Dean and Brenda Schmidt, Conover; Doug and Chris Schmidt, Manitowoc; two nephews: Dylan and Hayden Schmidt, Manitowoc; longtime friend: Kim Kaminski, Manitowoc; aunts and uncles: Milan (Bernice) Miller, Manitowoc; Bruce (Barbara) Miller, New Holstein; Norbert (Audrey) Miller, New Holstein; Barbara (Ken) Oswald, Manitowoc; Elaine Dezeeuw, Manitowoc; Betty (Bernard) Pickard, Manitowoc; Bernard (Marcia) Schmidt, Manitowoc; Gary Schmidt, Manitowoc; Bob Roedig, Manitowoc. Dave is also survived by many cousins, other relatives and many friends and also his beloved dog, Major.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents: Art and Julia Schmidt; maternal grandparents: Norbert and Catherine Miller; aunt: Pat Roedig; uncle: Pete Dezeeuw.

Relatives and friends may call at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home and Cremation Center on Friday from 4 to 8 p.m., and also on Saturday morning from 9 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m.
