Wife of James Henry Allison. They were married December 10, 1873 in Pike County, Illinois.

ELIZABETH (VAUGHN) ALLISON , was born July 18, 1849 in Pike Co., Illinois, died, March 15, 1920 at the age of 70 years, 7 months, and 27 days. She was united in marriage with J. H. Allison in November 1873. She lived in Pike County all her life, having resided on the same farm all her married life. To this union were born seven children, two having preceded her in death in their infancy. She is survived by her husband and five children, Martha Hall, William, Emerson, Sarah Thornton and Josie Foreman, ten grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Sister Allison obeyed the gospel at Old Pearl at the age of 16 under the teachings of Wesley Miller and Hiram Hess....Funeral services were held at the Hess Cemetery on March 17, C. C. Hanks officiating.
