Philip, Celia and several of the children arrived in NY aboard the ship Arthur, leaving from Liverpool the the spring of 1849. The two oldest sons were already in Pennsylvania.
The 1850 census places Philip and family in North Ward Tamaqua. He is a miner.
Records indicate his passing as 1857 with burial in St. Jerome's Cemetery.
