Bernard G. Schwoerer, age 85, a resident of Rivers Bend Health and Rehabilitation Center, Manitowoc, formerly of 1145 First St. Kiel, died Monday evening, September 28, 1998, at Rivers Bend.
Funeral Services will be held at 12 noon, Friday, October 2, 1998, at St. Casimir Catholic Church, Northeim. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be Rev. David Beaudry with entombment at Knollwood Mausoleum, town of Kossuth.
He was born April 27, 1913, in the town of Eaton, son of the late Ulrich and Clara Bogenschultz Schwoerer.
On November 15, 1938, he married the former Lorena I. Schnell, at St. Gregory Catholic church, St. Nazianz. The couple farmed in the town of Newton from 1942 until their retirement in 1976.
Survivors include his wife, one son and daughter-in-law, two daughters and one son-in-law, seven grand-children, two great-grandchildren, one daughter-in-law, two sisters and brothers-in-law, and two brothers and sisters-in-law. Also surviving are nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by one son, Donald, in 1985; three brothers, Albert, Frank and Arnold; and one sister, Catherine.
Friends may call at St. Casimir Catholic Church, Northeim from 9:30 a.m. Friday until the time of service at 12 noon.
Memorials may be given to the Parkinson's Disease Foundation.
The Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
