Mr. Autry E. Cauthon, 73, of Galesburg, entered into eternal rest Friday, March 22, 2013 at Marigold Health Care Center.

Autry was born January 28, 1940 in Muskogee, OK, the son of Johnnie and Jewell (Simpson) Cauthon. He married Ida Larkins on May 8, 1960 in Winterhaven, CA. Autry is survived by his wife, Ida of Galesburg; two sons, Sam (Sue) of Galesburg and Autry II (Sharon) of Peoria; and three daughters, Tracy (Mathew) Clevenger, Jessie (Larry) Wilson, and Hope (Brad Harms) Cauthon all of Galesburg. He is also survived by four brothers, Jim Campbell, Roy Campbell, Bill Cauthon, and Walter Cauthon; and two sisters, Jenni Little and Mildred Brucker. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Donald Cauthon and Jack Wickett and one sister, Jessie Thouvenel.

Autry graduated from Central High School in Muskogee, OK. He served in the US Navy on the USS Oriskany as a gunners mate from July 31, 1958 to July 30, 1964, attaining the rank of Seaman. After serving in the US Navy, Autry worked for Gate's Rubber Co. for 39 years. In his free time Autry enjoyed fishing and hunting, as well as playing baseball, basketball and bowling. He was a member of Knoxville American Legion Post # 749.

Cremation rites will be accorded following the visitation. Graveside services will be at Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens.
