Fisher.
Isaac Fisher, son of Wm. B. and Catherine C. Fisher, was born September 25, 1834, in Plainfield, Middlesex county, New Jersey. When about three years old, his parents emigrated to Michigan, where they remained about eighteen months, and then they went to Knox county, Ohio, and lived there until 1846. They then moved near Jerseyville, Jersey county, Ill.., settling about seven miles east of that city, where Mr. Fisher's father died September 30, 1869.
September 24, 1863, Mr. Fisher was married to Lucinda Holden. To this union were born five children, Cora, who died in infancy, Olive B. Kennedy of Springfield, Ill.; Emma; Effie Burns of near Waverly, and Lydia, who also died at the age of eight months.
Mr. Fisher and family have spent most of their lives on a well improved farm six miles east of Waverly, Ill. Not being physically able to attend to the duties of farm life, they left the farm and located in Waverly, in the fall of 1899. This has been their home since that time. Owing to ill health, Mr. and Mrs. Fisher and daughter, Emma, have been spending the past two years at Eldorado Springs, Mo., where he died Dec. 5, (1907).
He was converted very early in life, and united with the Baptist church of which he has been an active member ever since. He has always been faithful in his Christian duties, and loyal to the church of his choice. He is survived by his wife, three children, two brothers, Richard and Charles, and three sisters, Sarah Christopher, Jane Burch and Ella Dupy. He was a kind and loving father, thinking of his loved ones to the very last. His regret was in leaving his loved ones behind. But we know he is waiting for them just across death's stream.
