Hannah was born to John Dickenson and wife, Frances Foote, in Weathersfield, Connecticut on 6 Dec 1648. She died after 1705, probably in Brookfield, Massachusetts as she is buried in the Old Indian Cemetery there.

Indians attacked on 19 Sep 1677, and carried her off, as well as 16 others. Her husband and friend, Benjamin Waite, set off on a harrowing journey to recover their wives, both of whom were pregnant at the time. Their husbands were able to ransom them and they returned home in May of 1678.
