Mildred was born on Aug. 12, 1917, in Campbellsport, daughter of the late Earl and Edna (Miller) Korte. She married Harold (Butch) Timm on Dec. 6, 1941, at First German Evangelical Lutheran Church in Manitowoc. He preceded her in death on May 28, 1990.
Mildred was a member of First German Evangelical Lutheran Church for most of her life. She loved singing in the church choir. Mildred was also a “die hard” football fan and wouldn’t miss a Packer or Badger game.
Mildred is survived by her daughters: Leanne (Lyle) Schneider and Joanne (Allan) Hardtke; seven grandchildren: Kim (Jeff) Zehren, Brett (Jodi) Schneider, Kari (Corey) Scheffler, Coy (Brenda) Schneider, Chris (Kelley) Hardtke, Rachel (Lorin) Buzay and Greg (Jennifer) Hardtke; 11 great-grandchildren: Taylor and Bree Zehren, Caylyn and McKenzie Schneider, Lilly and Maisy Scheffler, Elise and Olivia Schneider, Katelyn and Erica Hardtke and Blake Hardtke; one sister: Marian Schrank; two brothers: Kenneth (Delores) Korte and Earl (Blanche) Korte. She is further survived by other relatives and friends.
Mildred was preceded in death by her brother and sister-in-law: Willard and Dorothy Korte; brother-in-law: Elroy Schrank; and sister-in-law: Catherine Duebner.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 9, 2004 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 407 Oak St., Neenah, with the Rev. D. J. Engelbrecht officiating. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the church. Entombment will be at Knollwood Memorial Park, Manitowoc.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Trinity Lutheran Church, Neenah; First German Evangelical Lutheran Church, Manitowoc; or Apostles Lutheran Church, Billings, MT. Westgor Funeral Home, Neenah, assisted the family with arrangements.
The family would like to extend a special “thank you” to the staff of ThedaCare at Home Hospice and the staff of Cherry Meadow for the wonderful care given to Mildred during her short stay.
