Marcel Biry, a partner in Louise's Flower Shop on Soquel Avenue, died Thursday in local hospital.
A native of Roseneau, France, he was 62. He had lived in Santa Cruz 23 years and made his home at 307 Capitola Avenue.
Funeral services will be Monday at 1:30 p.m. from the Irvin M. Smith and Sons Mortuary, 1050 Cayuga Street, to St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Capitola, for a requiem mass at 2 o'clock. Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery.
The rosary will be recited Sunday night at 8:30 at the Smith chapel.
He is survived by a son, Marcel G. Biry Jr. of Santa Cruz; his mother, Mrs. Marie Biry of Roseneau, France; two brothers, Constant and Alphonse Biry of Roseneau; a sister, Mrs. Aline Martinelli of Roseneau, and by numerous nieces and nephews.
