Son of Andrew M. Adair and Sarah Jane Palmetier, husband of Georgia Van Dyke, the daughter of George L. Van Dyke and Alice A. Teller, whom he married on November 23, 1935 in Delhi, New York.

In 1892, Andrew Adair, aged 7, was living in the home of his parents, Andrew Adair, aged 62, a laborer, and Sarah Adair, aged 41, with siblings, Adelbert, May, 24, Frances, 14, Charles, 11, David, 7, and Iva Adair, aged 3.

On September 18, 1918, Andrew Adair, aged 35, stated that he was born August 6, 1883, native born, was employed as a mechanic for Delhi Motor Sales, in Delhi, NY and gave the name of his brother Charley Adair, of Oneonta, Otsego, NY, when he registered for the draft during World War I.

In 1920, Andrew Adair, aged 36, was boarding in the home of 73-year-old widower, Matthew Lambrecht, in Delhi, NY, and was working as a chauffeur for the stage.

In 1940, Andrew Adair, aged 56, was living on Orchard Street in Delhi, NY with wife, Georgia Adair, aged 61. He worked as a laborer in a garage.

Obituary - Delhi - Funeral services for Andrew Adair, 86, of 4 Orchard Street, Delhi, will be at 1 p.m. Friday, April 23, at the Hall & Peet Funeral Home, Delhi, with the Rev. Billy C. Sparkman, pastor of the Delhi Coporate Ministry officiating. Committal services and burial for Mr. Adair and his wife, Georgia, who died February 16, will follow in Woodland Cemetery, Delhi. Mr. Adair, a 65 year Delhi resident, died Monday, April 19, at the Delhi Infirmary, following a brief illness. He was born August 8, 1884, a son of Andrew M. and Sarah Jane (Palmatier) Adair. He spent his youth in Davenport and Fergusonville areas. As a young man, he moved to Delhi, where he worked for a number of years on the VanDyke Homestead Farm on Meredith Road. He married Miss Georgia VanDyke on November 23, 1935 at Delhi. The couple settled on Orchard Street, where they lived until their health declined. In later years, Mr. Adair worked in the former Marshal Muir Garage and later for the R.H. Lewis Auto Agency, Delhi. He attended the United Methodist Church, Delhi, for many years. Surviving are a sister, Mrs. Nelson H. (Ina) Somerville, Oneonta, and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call at their convenience Thursday and Friday. The family will be in attendance Thursday evening.
