She was the wife of Frederick Fox [Fuchs]. Believe he is buried in PG with her. [Cemetery Book of 2005 "father" no name. Both Range 13.]
1874 - Year believed family may have immigrated to America. It is possible that husband Frederick came a little earlier.
1880 - Corry Census - Augusta 56, born at Braunschweig, Germany, keeping house, with husband Frederick age 50, born Hanover, Germany with children, George 16, Dora 12 and Theodore 10 all born at Hanover.
1899 - Corry City Directory: "Fox, Augusta, widow, h 74 East Pleasant."
1900 - Augusta is on this Corry census living with daughter Carrie Fox. She states that she had five* children, 5 living.
1901 - Corry City Directory: "Fox, Augusta, widow, h 74 East Pleasant."
*Census may be in error as there was a Mary Fox, born circa 1868 at Hanover, Germany, but not on the 1880 census. She would have been about 12 years of age and it is possible that she stayed in Wellsville with relatives.
