DENISON --- Kathryn Louise Copeland, 73, Denison, died Monday, Dec. 9, 2002, at a Topeka hospice house.

She was born May 2, 1929, in Sterling, to Charles and Jessie Snair McCrory. She moved to Denison with her parents in 1934. She graduated from Denison High School in 1947. She worked at the Ben Franklin store in Holton for several years.

She was a member of the Reformed Presbyterian Church in Denison and Women's Missionary Society.
She married Lloyd J. Copeland on May 11, 1948, in Denison. He survives.

Other survivors include two sons, Larry Copeland, Topeka, and Gerald Copeland, Holton; a daughter, Gayla Copeland, Topeka; two sisters, Leola Porter and Helen Hug, both Denison; and seven grandchildren.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Reformed Presbyterian Church in Denison. Burial will be in Denison Cemetery. Visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Mercer Funeral Home in Holton.

Contributions may be made to Holton Community Hospital or Midland Hospice House in Topeka.
