Craig Lambert, 58, passed away on Tuesday as a result of a car accident. He is survived by his son, Chris Lambert; daughter and son-in-law, Melissa and Eddie Yarborough; three grandchildren, Stanley Yarborough, Ashton Yarborough, Cody Lambert; his twin brother, Ian Lambert; and his dog, Molly. He was preceded in death by his son, Chad Lambert. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and a 38-year resident of this area. He was the owner of Centerline Construction, a developer of residential and commercial properties. An avid sailor, he was very involved with Power Squadron. The highway patrol says Craig was headed north, toward his home, on Hwy 117 in Rocky Point when he crossed the center line. He side-swiped a pickup truck and then over-corrected, sending his gray Ford Crown Victoria into the path of an on-coming 18-wheeler. That oversized truck hauling a swimming pool drove right over onto Mr. Lambert's car. Mr Lambert was well known and liked by his community. He will be deeply missed.
