Glenda A. Endicott


Service for Glenda A. Endicott will be 11:00 a.m., Wed., April 3, 2013 in the Chapel of the Garden at Rice Funeral Service; burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery.

Glenda passed away on a Saturday, March 30, 2013. She was 89.

Born in Colcord, OK on November 13, 1923 to Hubert and Nellie (Anderson) Dick, Glenda began her working career during World War II in the shipyards in California in 1944 and retired from Smith Real Estate in 1995.

Glenda enjoyed her association with Beta Sigma Phi sorority involving projects designed to raise money for scholarships, cancer awareness, as well as other worthy causes. Another highlight in Glenda's life was serving food at the annual Lipe Rodeo, even in the hot August sun.

Glenda was an avid fisherman in her spare time. You could find her fishing off her boat dock at her lake home in Bernice or with her close friend Doris on Oologah Lake. She also loved the outdoors and was even known to have a green thumb when it came to gardening.

A loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend, Glenda will be missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her husband Don of their home, grandsons Jeffrey H. Endicott and Walter H. Hough and wife Dawn, all of Claremore; great granddaughter Annie Hough of Bixby; brothers Joe Dick and wife Elizabeth of Grants Pass, OR, Everett Dick and wife Bonnie of Inola, Jerry Dick and wife Gracie of Jay and her sister Ginger Weeks and husband Jim of Colcord.

She is preceded in death by her parents, two daugthers, Nelda Marie Johnson and Brenda Lee Taie and sisters, Chloe King and Marie Blackmore.
