Paschal's father William settled in Franklin Co., KY 1784. Paschal served in several Indian campaigns and was a scout for General Wayne in 1794; was the Franklin Co. Jailor when he recruited a company for Allen's 1st Rifle Regiment in 1812. In 1822 Hickman Co., KY was named in his honor.

In September 1834 these men were for the fourth, and the last time, exhumed and placed in boxes marked Kentucky's Gallant Dead, 18 Jan 1813, River Raisin Michigan, and at last and forever placed at rest in the State Cemetery, in Frankfort, Kentucky.
