John Sheely died between 1872 - 1880. He is buried in Pine Grove Cemetery, but date of death is unknown. See Note 1 and Note 2.

1860 - Ashtabulia, Ohio Census, John Sheely first appears in Sheffield, Township, age 37, occupation, blacksmith, with wife, Mary 32, sons John 4, and George 1.

1869 - Corry City Directory, John Shile, Blacksmith, East Main near South.

1870 - Corry Census, with wife Mary, sons John and George, dau, Mary.

1872 - Corry Directory John Sheily, Blacksmith.

1880 - Mary listed as widow under Mary Shiley, living with son George.

Note 1: From the 1911 obituary of his wife, Mary Sauer Sheely, THE REMAINS WERE LAID AT REST IN PINE GROVE CEMETERY IN THE FAMILY LOT WHERE REPOSE THOSE OF THE HUSBAND* AND SON OF THE DECEASED. John is most likely one of the "fathers" buried in Range 13, based on Note 2.

NOTE 2: John Sheely's record of burial is not in "The Burials In Pine Grove Cemetery of 2005, but the book does state the following: "ORIGINAL RECORDS WERE LOST AROUND 1902 ... it is believed this is the best listing ... even there are MOST LIKELY STILL SOME OMISSIONS AND POSSIBLY ERRORS ..."
