She married John W. Wilkerson about 1842, at Giles County, Tennessee. They moved to Angelina County, Texas prior to 1854.
She passed away likely not long after the birth of her son John W. Wilkerson was born, 23 May 1861. John's and some of his siblings death certificate's confirmed to me her maiden name. As this part of my ancestry has been very hard to trace, mostly because of the Yankee idiots that burned our Southern Courthouses. Like the Giles County, Tennessee Courthouse.
I first made this connection by the 1850 census for Giles County, Tennessee, where her brother Redden R. Smith in residing in the home of John and Charlotte Wilkerson. And by tracing there movements and their proximity to each other after they had moved to Texas.
