Found in The State 02 April 1952: Albert L. Dyson, 67, died at the Columbia hospital at 7 o'clock Tuesday morning after an illness of two weeks. Mr. Dyson was a life long resident of Columbia and West Columbia. At the time of his death, he was making his home with his son, W. M. Dyson of 304 Jasper street, West Columbia. Mr Dyson was a retired plumber and was a member of the Methodist church. Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. John P. Bethea, Mrs. W. H. Lancaster and Miss Beatrice Dyson, all of Columbia, and Mrs. A. J. Krajcik of Elgin, Ill.; three sons, W. M Dyson of West Columbia, and L. L. and C. L. Dyson of Columbia; one sister, Mrs. Ben F. Miles of Lancaster; one brother, Allen Dyson of California, and seven grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 4:30 this afternoon from Thompson Funeral home, with the Rev. D. F. Swicegood officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood cemetery. Active pallbearers will be J. L. Sons, George Kennedy, Joseph McLendon, Charles McLendon, Henry Thomas and M. R. Moore.
