LOUISE D. FOUGERE, 74, of West Shore Road, a retired dietary aide, died yesterday at Kent Hospital.

She was the wife of the late Paul Fougere and the late George Gowen.

Born in Providence, a daughter of the late John G.M. and Marie E.A. (Powers) Bishop, she had lived in Providence and Cranston before moving to Warwick 20 years ago.

Mrs. Fougere worked at St. Joseph Hospital, in Providence, for 17 years, retiring in 1995.

She was a communicant of St. Kevin Church.

She leaves four sons, Bruce P. and Wayne Fougere, both of Warwick, and George W. and John J. Fougere, both of Cranston; a brother, William A. Bishop, and a sister, Ann V. Colman, both of Plainville, Mass.; five grandchildren and a great-granddaughter. She was the sister of the late Marie E. Miller, Constance Dedario and Betty Rivers.

The funeral will be held Monday at 8:15 a.m. from Urquhart-Murphy Funeral Home, 800 Greenwich Ave., with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 in St. Kevin Church, 333 Sandy Lane. Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
