George W. Gowen, age 71, died May 29 in Bon Secour St. Joseph Hospital at Port Charlotte.
He resided at Cranston for most of his live, he moved to this area in 1988 from Lincoln in Rhode Island.
He was an Army veteran of WW II, serving as
a paratrooper. He was a life member of the Disabled American Veterans.
Interment in Florida National Cemetery.
