note received from family member Jan 2013 reads; Bruce Moffitt, my grandfather. C. Bruce is the son of Mansfield and Caroline Maffitt . According to my mother Inez, C. Bruce changed the spelling of his last name to Moffitt because he didn't like the way people pronounced Maffitt .
