MARGARET BRUNNER (d. 1965)

Mrs. Margaret Brunner, 77, who had resided with a son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Urban G. Brunner, of Rt. 4, Manitowoc, died Saturday evening after a coronary attack while at the home of a niece, Mrs. Reuben Glaeser, of 851 N. 15th St., Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, and at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Silver Lake. The Rev. Ronald Kirk will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Brunner, nee Holzer, was born April 17, 1888, at St. Nazianz, daughter of the late John and Bertha Biely Holzer. The lifelong Manitowoc County resident was married to George Brunner Nov. 27, 1907, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, the first marriage ceremony performed in the new church. Her husband died July 30, 1943. She was a member of Christian Mothers Altar Society of the church and Shady
Lane Homemakers Club.
Surviving are a son, Urban of Rt. 4, Manitowoc; a daughter, Mrs. William Fessler of Rt. 1, Manitowoc; two brothers, Frank and Peter Holzer of Milwaukee; five sisters, Mrs. Tressie Schnell of Sheboygan, Mrs. Bertha Popp of Manitowoc, Mrs. Lizzie Hacker of Valders, Mrs. Melvin Launsbrough of Milwaukee and Mrs. Morris LaBarre of St. Paul, Minn.; eight grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. A son, George, and a sister preceded her in death.
Friends may call at the funeral home where the rosary will be recited at 8 o'clock this Monday evening by members of the parish and Christian Mothers Altar Society.
