Passed away peacefully at the home that she shared with her son, Donald and daughter-in-law, Carol. Belle and her husband, Lester (deceased in 1981) moved to Los Angeles from Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 1963 to be close to her children and grandchildren. Belle was extremely devoted to her family: brothers, David (Santa), Lee (Ina), Jerry (Joyce), Mel (Dorothy) and her sister, Rosa (Ralph). A graduate of the Wisconsin School of Music, Belle also loved playing the piano and organ, especially "Sunrise, Sunset". She will be lovingly remembered by her brothers, sister, favorite and only son: Donald A. Franklin, MD; daughter-in-law, Carol M. Franklin, MD; granddaughters, Amy (Peter) Griffes, Gail (Robert) Kiek; grandsons, Tom Franklin; great-granddaughters, Jennifer and Ashley Griffes; great-grandson, Alex Kiek as well as many nieces and nephews.
