Robert (Bob) Uphold, 74, passed away Monday, April 8, 2013 at West Penn Burn Center in Pittsburgh, PA. He was the pastor of Tunnelton Christian Fellowship Chapel.

He was born March 6, 1939, in Tunnelton, the son of James & Mildred Messenger Uphold.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Karen Ann Bolyard Uphold, one son, Brian Uphold and wife Charlotte of Tunnelton, two grandsons, Ryan and Aaron Uphold and one granddaughter, Kayla "Squeak" Uphold, three sisters, Shirley Costlow and spouse Buster of Medina, OH, Loretta Weaver and spouse Dorsey of Tunnelton and Mary Sheets and spouse Richard of Newburg. He is also survived by nephews; Rick and James Uphold, Jay Wolfe, Larry and Todd Morris and Mike Costlow; nieces; Kim Costlow, Becky Field and Jennifer Murray.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Roy Eugene Uphold, his brother, Joe Uphold and his father and mother in-law, Vester "Ears" & Stella Bolyard.

He was the owner and operator of Bob's Part Sales & Service. He worked for Preston Parts in Kingwood. Bob retired from the Preston County Board of Education after driving a school bus for 30 years. He dedicated his life to God, his family and his community. He provided church services weekly at Heartland of Preston County for many years. He enjoyed playing guitar and hunting with his family and friends. Bob had ever ending love for farming.

Family will receive friends at Browning Funeral Home in Kingwood on Friday, April 12, 2013 from 2-8 pm. On Saturday, April 13, Bob will be moved to the New Beginning Assembly of God Church on State Route 26, Zuchowski Hill, for visitation from 10 am till 2 pm the funeral hour with Pastor Tim Slaughter, Reverends Burl Haddix and Randy Cobun officiating. Interment will follow in the Shaw Cemetery.
