Rites for Medford man will be Friday
Wesley W. Postlewaite, 71, long time Medford resident, died unexpectantly Monday of a heart attack at the home of his daughter at Wasco, CA.
The body is being returned to Medford for funeral services...
Burial will be in Rosemound Cemetery by Hills funeral home.
Mr. Postlewaite and his wife left Medford in December to spend several months with relatives on the west coast.
He was born Feb 22, 1889, in Pratt county, Kansas.
He came to Grant county at the opening of the Cherokee Strip for settlement in 1893 and spent his boyhood on the family homestead a mile north and three miles west of Medford.
He resided several years in SD before returning to Medford to make his home about 30 years ago.
Mr Postlewaite is survived by his wife; two sons, Lyle, of Medford, and William of Tulare, CA; two daughters, Mrs. Doris Gilley and Mrs. Alice Wilson, both of Wasco, CA; three sisters, Mrs. Myrtle Muck of Omaha, Nb, Mrs. Anna Arterburn of Blair, Nb, and Mrs. Mary Gregg of Dodge City, KA; one brother, Frank W of Medford and three half brothers, Charley of Medford and Claude Postlewaite of Canby, OR and Charley Heath of Seminole, OK.
