Pauline D'Onofrio Kiesling

AGE: 82 • Iselin

Pauline D'Onofrio Kiesling, of the Iselin section of Woodbridge Township died Wednesday at her residence. She was 82.

Born in New York City, she lived in Carteret before moving to Iselin in 1984. She retired from Walgreen's as an Assistant Manager at the Port Authority store in 1991.

In addition to her career in retail she was an active volunteer as a Girl Scout Leader and at the Women's Auxiliary at the JFK Medical Center in Edison. Throughout the years she has crocheted and donated hundreds of lap blankets to patients in the hospital.

She was a 52-year member of the First Presbyterian Church in Woodbridge. Pauline, or "Nanny" as she was lovingly known will always remain in our hearts forever and her generosity and acceptance will be remembered by all that knew and loved her.

She was predeceased by her parents, two sisters, two brothers, and husband of 54 years, James Henry Kiesling.

Surviving are her two daughters, Joann and her husband, David Cooper of Virginia Beach, VA, and Patricia Kinney of Iselin; six grandchildren, Jennifer and her husband Derek Galatro, Timothy Kinney, Sean and his wife Teresa Kinney, Helena Cooper, Brendan Cooper and Rebecca Cooper; seven great-grandchildren, Alexander, Joshua and Abigail Galatro, Bryce and Kaitlyn Kinney, and Joseph and Christian Kinney; and a host of nieces and nephews.

The family would like to give special thanks to the caregivers from the Bayada Home Health Care and Embracing Hospice Care of Cranbury.

Cremation was held privately under the direction of the GOSSELIN FUNERAL HOME, Edison.

A Memorial will be held on Saturday, June 2nd at 11 AM at the First Presbyterian Church of Woodbridge, followed by committal in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Embracing Hospice Care, 109 South Main Street, Suite 23, Cranbury, NJ 08512.
