Services for Johnny Downs, 81, of Paducah will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Home. The Revs. Topper Council and Michael Suiter will officiate, with burial in Mount Kenton Cemetery.
Mr. Downs died at 11:27 p.m. Friday at Parkview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
The Livingston County native was a self-employed plumber. He was of the Baptist faith.
Surviving are four daughters, Brenda Walton of Benton, Shirley Robinson of Memphis, Tenn., and Elaine Hawes and Kathey Porter, both of Lone Oak; three sons, Roger Downs and Timothy Downs, both of Lone Oak, and Johnny L. Downs of the Farley community; 22 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Eva Swartz Downs; one son, Herman Downs; one grandson; two sisters; and three brothers. His parents were William Harlan and Belinda Elizabeth Martin Downs.
