Mrs. Elizabeth S. Moredock of 301 East High street, Waynesburg, wife of Attorney A. L. Moredock, died at 8:15 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 28, 1953, in the Greene County Memorial Hospital after an illness of two months.
A daughter of the late Dr. Sylvanus S. and Louise Crayne Smith, Mrs. Moredock was born at Jefferson. She attended former Monongahela College there and before her marriage also taught school and music at Jefferson. She had resided in Waynesburg since 1900.
Mrs. Moredock was a member of the First Presbyterian Church at Waynesburg and of the Frances Willard W.C.T.U.
Surviving in addition to her husband are one daughter, Bess, wife of James W. Lindsay of Pittsburgh; one son, Albert E. Moredock of Pittsburgh; one granddaughter, Sally Lindsay of Pittsburgh; one sister, Mrs. Lucinda Gregg of Lippencott, and two brothers, Attorney S. M. Smith of Waynesburg and Albert P. Smith of Pittsburgh.
One son, Daniel, died in infancy.
