MRS. EMANUEL SHAFFER, the former Alberdena Grote, died suddenly at the home of her son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Maurice E. Shaffer, 7 N. Diamond St., York, on Jan. 31, 1952, after a brief illness.
Mrs. Shaffer was 84 years, 1 month, and 16 days old.
A former Steltz resident and church member, she was a faithful member of St. Jacob's Church for many years and a resident of the Glenville community.
She is survived by son, Maurice; two grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
Her funeral was held on Feb. 3 in St. Jacob's Church. Her body was laid to rest in the new cemetery.
