Our community has again been saddened by the passing from this life of out of its most highly respected and loved women, and great was the shock and. surprise when it became known that Mrs. Fraser had died shortly after midnight at the home of her Supervisor John W. Fraser, where she had been tenderly cared for since the death of her husband last July. She was apparently In her usual state of health the day previous to her death and had spent a few hours at the home of Mr. and Mrs. James McKinnon she became ill that evening and lived but a short time. The cause of death was a heart difficulty. The deceased was born In Vermont, April 1 1858. She was united In marriage to John A. Fraser at Norwood, 49 years ago and with the exception of a short time at Santa Clara, her married life was spent In this village.
Mrs. Fraser was a devoted wife and mother a loyal friend and neighbor, sympathetic, kind and generous, ever mindful of those less fortunately situated than herself. Although practically blind for many years, she was unusually cheerful and happy and took an active interest In all community affairs. She was a regular attendant of the Methodist church and a member of St. Regis Chapter, No. 465, O.E.S. The demised in survived by one son, Supervisor John W. Fraser, of this village, and one daughter, Mrs. John Littie, of Springfield, Vermont. She is also survived by one brother, William Little, of Corning, California. Her funeral was largely attended
at the Methodist Episcopal church Wednesday. Burial in the family plot Forest Cemetery.
