Dora was the ninth of ten children born to Troy Thomas and Martha Carolina (Kirkman) Kivett.

Mrs. Isa Dora Kivett Hales, 87, died Sunday at Willow Haven Rest Home. Funeral will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at the graveside at Forest Lawn Cemetery with the Rev. Leon Stubbs officiating.
She was a Randolph County native, retired seamstress and a member of Bethany United Methodist Church in Randolph County.
There are no immediate survivors. The family will be at Hanes-Lineberry North Elm Street Chapel 7:30-8:30 p.m. today.
