According to the genealogical research of several individuals,
Joel Anderson was the son of Joseph Anderson and Winnefred Hayes.
Uriah was Joseph's father and Susannah Allum was his mother.
1835, Jefferson Co., Fl; Joseph Anderson and Winniford Anderson, his wife, were Grantors and Wm. Platt, Grantee of a land sale. Winniford Anderson relinquished power.
Another 1835 Jefferson Co., Fl. land sale lists Winnifred Anderson as wife of Joseph Anderson.
Joseph and Winifred/Winnifred had returned to Emanuel Co., Ga. by 1840 where Joseph is listed on that census.
In 1851, Winneford Anderson was appointed guardian for the minor children of Joseph Anderson, deceased, who is listed as father.
Emanuel Co. Administrators and Bonds for Guardians 1812-1849, p. 93-94: James Anderson (as principal) and M.G. Fortner as administrators of the Joseph Anderson estate May 15, 1849. S.M. (Swain Montgomery) Fortner gave security of $1,200 for the estate.

Wineford Anderson (her X mark), Garry Hayes and Noah Tyson signed as having given securities in the case of $400.00. (Noah Tyson, Jr., son of Noah, Sr., was the son-in-law of Winnifred Anderson).
