Tecumseh resident Bill Brown, 71, died Sunday, April 3, in Oklahoma City.
He was born Feb. 24, 1934, in Tecumseh to Morgan and Lee (Hulin) Brown.
Brown was reared in the Pink area and attended both Willow View and Okay schools.
He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War.
He was married in 1955 to Monna Roland. On Oct. 13, 1978, he married Wanda Faye Goad.
Brown was a truck driver for Armour Oil and TransCon. He later worked as owner/operator for Freight Train Trucking retiring in 1995.
He enjoyed woodworking and working in his yard.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Wesley Andrew Brown and one stepson, David Roland.
Survivors include his wife, Wanda Brown of the home; sons, Paul Brown of Earlsboro and Wesley K. Brown of Tecumseh; daughters, Paula Barnett of Tecumseh and Vicki Preast of Sulphur; step-children, Jerry Goad, Steve Goad, Laura McCool, Donna Yoder all of Oklahoma City and Rhonda Bennett of Oregon; 29 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Vance and Nancy Hulin of Moore.
Service will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Cooper Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Robert Rider officiating. Burial will be at Brown Cemetery under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
