Margaret (Margie) K. Hemmert, 83 years old, passed away at home April 20, 2013.
Services for Margaret will be at Cloverdale Funeral Home Reception Center on Friday, April 26, 2013 at 12:00 pm. Burial and reception will follow at Cloverdale Memorial Park.
Margie was born November 10, 1929, the youngest of nine children to Ambrose and Ethel Maher on the family homestead at Daughtry Springs. Margie graduated from Marsing High School in 1947.
She went on to Boise State (then Boise Junior College) for business courses. She worked various jobs before landing at Boise Cascade for 6 years as the Lumber Billing Supervisor, and 29 years for the Department of Education. Margie traveled all over the state training the School Districts on payroll input on the new computer systems. She retired in 1998.
Margie was also a devoted wife to Austin Waddell, and had four children. They were divorced in 1958. In 1963 she married Raymond J. Hemmert and had one son.
Margie is preceded in death by her parents, Ambrose and Ethel; three half-sisters, Mary Greenwald, Irene Foster, and Gertrude Anderson; a sister, Agnes Payne; three brothers, George, Frank and Charlie Maher; and husbands, Austin Waddell and Raymond Hemmert.
Margie is survived by her older sister, Ruby Staples, of Caldwell; her sons, Mike Waddell (Boise), Jerry Waddell (Twin Falls), Paul Waddell (Richland, WA) and Joseph Hemmert (Boise); daughter, Pamela Waddell Maurice (Tigard, OR); 11 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
