Cotton.
John Cotton died at the residence of George Hahn, 804 West Calhoun street, of disease incident to advance age. He was 88 years old; born in Nelson county, KY. His body was taken Monday afternoon to Blandinsville, his former home, for burial. Funeral services were held there Thursday at 11 o'clock. Deceased was one of the old settlers of the northwest portion of the county. For many years he lived in Hire township. He leaves the following children: Jacob P. of Blandinsville, C. C. of Cornell, Mo.; Mrs. Robert Anderson of Macomb and Mrs. C. A. Foley of Denver. Mr. and Mrs. R. Anderson accompanied the remains to Blandinsville.∼
