Dessie Lee Wood, 94, went home to be with our Lord on Monday, April 22, 2013. Funeral: 11 a.m. Friday at Baumgardner Funeral Home in Fort Worth. Interment: 2:30 p.m. Friday in Ridge Park Cemetery in Hillsboro. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Baumgardner Funeral Home. Dessie was born July 8, 1918, in the Prairie Point community near Hillsboro to George and Edith Curbo. She will be missed by one and all. Dessie was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, James F. Wood Sr.; daughter, Sandra O'Shea; and one grandson. Survivors: Son, James F. Wood Jr. and wife, Linda; four grandsons; one granddaughter; and numerous extended family members.
