Mt. Vernon, April 2, 1888.
Mr. Geo. Padget, better known as "Uncle" Padget, is lying dangerously ill at the residence of his daughter, Mrs. Robt. Garton. Some time ago Mr. Padget was here on a visit, and was taken sick. He recovered sufficiently to return to his home in Calhoun County, but on reaching home, he was taken sick again. His daughter wished to take care of him, so he was brought back again.
