Confederate Soldier ,Served as a Musician with Company C of the 51st Virgina Infantry. He was captured on July 9,1864 and was brought to Fort McHenry ,in Baltimore,MD., as a prisoner of war . He died in the Post Hospital as a result of Illness. Originally buried in at the fort's solider's grave , he was subsequently moved to Loudon National Cemetery.
