Lizzie was a well known resident of Rose Township in Oakland County where she had resided for about 45 years. She died May 03, 1944 at her home on Buckhorn Lake Road at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday morning from a heart attack she suffered the night before. She was a member of the Holly Grange, Patrons of Husbandry and affiliated with the Rose Mission, organized by the Ladies Aid Society of Rose in 1898.

Aunt Lizzie was described by her grandnieces and nephews as always being happy and a joy to be with. The word "jolly" was also used to describe her and that she told her sister, Hettie, she married for love, not money.

Elizabeth "Lizzie" married (1) George Winters, May 28, 1889. She married (2) John Lieber, October 09, 1912, Pontiac, Oakland County, Michigan.
