C. Taylor Retired Sun Employee

Charles R. Taylor, 78, a retired employee of Sun Oil Co., died Tuesday in Sacred Heart Hospital, Chester after an illness of two years.

Since the death of his wife, the former Ida M. Lamplugh, in 1962, he has lived with his daughter-in-law, Mrs. Ethel H. Taylor of 2831 Larkin Road, Boothwyn.

Mr. Taylor was born in Marcus Hook, was educated there and lived most of his life in Marcus Hook and Linwood. After his schooling he was employed by the U. S. Government at the Quarantine Station, Marcus Hook, for ten years. He then was employed as an operator in the filtering plant at the Sun Oil Co. for 40 years before his retirement in 1956.

He is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Nellie Kulp of Linwood and Mrs. Maude Achenback of Marcus Hook.

Services will be at 2 p.m., Friday at the Robert Moreland Funeral Home, 9th and Main Sts., Trainer. Burial will be in Lawn Croft Cemetery, Linwood.

Calling hours will be after 7 p.m., Thursday at the funeral home.

Charles R. Taylor, 78, a retired employee of Sun Oil Co., died Tuesday in Sacred Heart Hospital, Chester after an illness of two years.
