Grace Sadler Cofer
September 3, 1912 - April 28, 2013

Grace Sadler Cofer, age 100, of Chattanooga went home to be with the Lord Sunday, April 28, 2013. She was born September 3, 1912 in Red Boiling Springs, Tennessee to the late Jasper Newton and Daisy Turner Sadler.

Mrs. Cofer was a member of Red Bank United Methodist Church and the Margaret Helms Sunday School Class.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Alfred Cofer; son, W. A. Cofer, Jr.; sisters, Dona Mae Roberts and Louise Armstrong; brother, Elisha Sadler; and niece DeeDee Coe.

Survivors include her daughter-in-law, Carolyn Cofer of Soddy Daisy; grandchildren, Alan (Robin) Cofer of Hixson; Dub (Jill) Cofer of Ringgold; Cindy (Mark) Hixson of Chattanooga; great-grandchildren, David (Tara) Cofer, Will (Michelle) Cofer, Laura Cofer, Drew Hixson, Rob Cofer, Clay Cofer, and Kyle Hixson; great-great-grandchildren, Anna & Liam Cofer; niece Lisa (Steve) Frost of Signal Mountain; nephew, Col. Gary (Maureen) Sadler of Front Royal, Virginia; and seven great-nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11:30 a.m. in the North Chapel with Rev. Jeff Lambert and Alan Cofer officiating. Burial will follow at Chattanooga Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends Monday from 4-8 p.m. and Tuesday from 10-11:30 a.m. at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Red Bank United Methodist Church, 3800 Dayton Blvd., Chattanooga, Tennessee 37415.

Arrangements are by the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson, Tennessee.
